Principal - Emily Donalson Graduate of The Florida State University and the University of South Florida Bachelor’s Degree in English Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership Mrs. Donalson is a Pace High School graduate. She taught middle school language arts and social studies for one year in Wakulla County before moving to Tampa to teach high school English and dropout prevention classes at East Bay High School. She spent 7 years at Navarre High School teaching English and served one year as Dean of Students before moving to Assistant Principal at Avalon Middle School. She served as AP there for 5 years before becoming the principal here at Sims Middle School.
Assistant Principal - Ryan Stokes Graduate of Pensacola Junior College, University of Florida (Milton campus), and the University of West Florida Bachelor's Degree in Natural Resource Conservation Master's Degree in Educational Leadership Mr. Stokes is the product of Santa Rosa County education. He spent almost fifteen years in Santa Rosa County teaching middle and high school math and science. He had no desire to go into education until he married his wife, Cynthia Stokes, who teaches ESE in Santa Rosa County. Mr. Stokes now serves as Assistant Principal to Sims Middle School.
Dean of Students - Amie Filbert Graduate of the University of West Florida Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science/Physical Education Master’s Degree in Health/Physical Education and Ed. Leadership Mrs. Filbert graduated from Milton High School. She taught 7 years of physical education and has also coached high school volleyball and softball. Her husband Brad is also a teacher at Sims Middle. Mrs. Filbert has two sons, Nate who is in 4th grade and Jon in 1st grade and a newborn daughter, Claire.
